Great Escape.
I came across these guys at the Great Escape 3 day music festival at the newington armory in Sydney. They actually had stilts on their legs with springs on the bottom so they could bounce through the crowd like kangaroos! it couldnt really be any more Australian- kangaroos, beer, and a big thumbs up! there's some more shots of them at www.boudist.com just click on "concert photography" then "great escape"

Newington Armory
The Newington Armory was an explosives store for the Australian Navy. Its buildings are surrounded by blast containment banks of various complexity to prevent chain reactions in the event of an untoward incident.

Jib Cranes - RAN Armoury, Newington Sydney
Two Jib Cranes of 3 ton capacity at the former Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Depot at Newington in Sydney. These military-industrial relics now form a stationary feature in the Sydney Olympic Park. The Cranes were constructed locally in 1974 by G & J Watson of Tennyson Road, Mortlake, with the drum base by Smidt & Muller. Crab spider
Some of you may have noticed that I do not upload very frequently to Flickr any more. I have noticed that because adding to groups etc. takes so long I tend to share my photography on Facebook more and more. The issue is that my great Flickr contacts miss out! To remedy this, my friend and I have created a Facebook page for our photography! Please check it out and click 'Like'! (also, if you haven't seen Daniel's photography then you'll get access to that!). I will still post the occasional photos on Flickr when I have the time, but you will get to see much more on the Facebook page. www.facebook.com/CrypsisNaturePhotography This is a crab spider I recently photographed at the University of Newcastle. He had camouflaged himself against the elbow of a branch, and it was near perfect camouflage. I only noticed because he moved as I was walking past. He's so cute!!!
